Breakbulk Europe 2023 6th to 8th June @ Rotterdam, Netherlands

The Breakbulk Europe is the biggest and leading event for project special cargo and the breakbulk industry. We as MOL exhibited at the Breakbulk Europe 2023 at Rotterdam from 6th to 8th June 2023 and we have been over-whelmed by the level of activity that took place onsite.

Under the “MOL Project Heavy Cargo (MOL PHC)” brand, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines with its various group companies, such as MOL Logistics Co., Ltd.MOL ACE, MOL Drybulk Ltd., and UTOC, offer solutions for various modes of ocean transportation as well as full package of door-to-door concepts.

At Rotterdam, MOL colleagues from all over the world, such as from Japan, South Africa, Turkey, Italy, The Netherlands and Germany, representing various group companies, attended the Breakbulk Europe 2023:

The event in June drew 10,445 professionals to Rotterdam, from more than 120 countries:

The event brought the industry together to network, to develop innovative ideas, to build new business relationships and MOL was thrilled to be part of it!

What did our booth focus on this year?

Basically, this time we focused on strengthen our key existing relationships, grow our connections and generate new business for the MOL Group. Also this year we introduced our activities in the field of “BLUE ACTION 2035” and in particular our initiatives in relation to become the leader in sustainable ocean transportation (new decarbonization strategy, new technologies, new carbon free fuel types, etc). Also our booth design changed with advertising this new era of MOL, towards a more sustainable shipping future.

At the same time, we also advertised other MOL Group companies initiatives, such as “Coil Porter” with a (small) model on-site for instance. It was also good to have the MOL Drybulk colleagues from Tokyo office on-site this year, as we could see that a lot of existing/new customers, were asking about this transport solution.

Taste of Japan

But not only constructive and intense business talks took place at our MOL booth. This year we invited our valued customers, vendors, partners and friends for a “Taste of Japan”:

Sushi Hour:

We started with our Sushi hour, where we served outstanding Sushi from “Sushi Ooi” (-Traditional Japanese Food Arts-).

This restaurant is run by Sushi Chef, Mr. Hiroaki Ooi. Ooi san had trained himself as a sushi chef for 14 years at Ooi Sushi. Ooi Sushi is one of the oldest Sushi restaurants in Hiroshima. It has been in business for 60 years*.
