Corresponding Adjustment

Part of the international framework for greenhouse gas reduction under the Paris Agreement, measures taken to prevent double counting of greenhouse gas reductions by each country. Specifically, when a country transfers reduced emissions to another country, the transferring country subtracts that reduction amount from its own emissions, and the receiving country adds that amount, thereby avoiding double counting of reductions (or removals).
