FLNG
FLNG stands for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas, referring to offshore facilities or projects designed to liquefy natural gas offshore. Traditionally, natural gas is processed at onshore liquefaction plants. However, FLNG enables this process to be carried out offshore, providing an effective solution for regions where building onshore infrastructure is challenging. By eliminating the need for extensive land-based construction, FLNG helps unlock new opportunities in the global gas value chain.
