LD Compressor
Abbreviation for Low Duty Compressor. An LD compressor is used to send Boil-Off Gas (BOG) generated in a cargo tank to the main engine and a Recondenser. For an LNG carrier, this is usually used to send BOG to the main engine during navigation.
