Negative emissions refers to the removal and storage of CO₂ from the atmosphere and be divided into two types. Nature-based solutions include forests, blue carbon, and other natural means to increase CO₂ absorption, whereas technology-based solutions use chemical engineering technologies to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.
