Neo-Panamax

The term refers to the specifications of vessels that can transit the new locks added during the Panama Canal expansion in 2016. It applies to large ships with a maximum length of 370.3 meters, a beam of 51.2 meters, and a draft of up to 15.2 meters. By carrying more cargo, these vessels contribute to improving the efficiency of international logistics.
