RAM Study

Abbreviation for Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Study. This is one type of method for evaluating the availability rate of plants and systems. Simulations are conducted based on data such as failure rates of equipment in the system and the time required for failed equipment to resume operation. This method can be used to estimate availability rates for the mid-term and long-term. Furthermore, based on the results, the study confirms whether the required availability rate can be satisfied, evaluates high-risk equipment and considers an optimum solution to improve the availability.
