Hard Arm

The hard arm is an equipment to transfer liquid or high-pressure gas in LNG transfer operation, and is used mainly at an onshore LNG terminal. It is installed on a jetty, and connected to manifolds of the LNG carrier or Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) docked at the jetty to transfer LNG or high-pressure gas. It is also referred to as a loading arm, unloading arm, or Chiksan arm.
