QRH
Abbreviation for Quick Release Hook. It enables quick release of a mooring rope for a ship moored at a jetty in case of an emergency. A QRH is also used for a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) or Floating Storage Unit (FSU) to quick release the LNG carrier that is double banked with the FSRU/FSU, in preparation for an emergency evacuation.
